Private Party Policies & Expectations

We want your private event to be unforgettable! To help us provide the best experience for you and your guests, please review and sign the following policies before your party:

1. Guided vs. Self-Guided Experience Policy

By booking a self-guided experience, your group is choosing an independent format that includes:

• Written instructions and visual guidance

•Support from staff as needed or for safety

• Flexibility for your group to work at your own pace

A self-guided reservation does not convert into a guided workshop simply because guests want hands-on direction. If, during your session, you decide to upgrade to a guided experience, we are happy to accommodate based on staffing availability - a $5 per guest upgrade fee will be applied.

We strongly encourage hosts to communicate this difference to their guests in advance to ensure aligned expectations.

2. Time Limit & Overtime Policy

Private party reservations include up to 3 hours total in our space. This timeframe covers:

• Guest arrival & check-in

• Instruction & pouring time

• Curing time

• Socializing and celebration

• Cleanup and exit

Your group must be fully cleaned up and exited by your end time. Staying past the 3-hour window incurs a $50 overtime fee, as delays interfere with cleaning and resetting for the next reservation.

Please plan your party timeline accordingly.

3. Outside Food & Drink Policy

You are welcome to bring outside food, snacks, cake, charcuterie, non-alcoholic beverages, etc. We love when you make your celebration personal!

However:

• You are responsible for cleaning up all food and drink messes before leaving

• This includes plates, spills, crumbs, utensils, trash, cake mess, platters, etc.

Our standard cleanup only includes studio station cleanup associated with the candle/soap experience - it does not cover kitchen/dining mess. If our team needs to clean food spaces, additional fees may apply.

4. Instruction Start Time

To ensure smooth timing and proper curing, instruction begins 30 minutes after your scheduled start time.

Example: If your party is 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, instruction starts promptly at 5:30 pm.

Late guests will be briefed when they arrive, but sessions cannot be delayed waiting for missing attendees. This ensures your group receives:

• Full pouring time

• Full curing time

• A smooth end-of-session process

5. Candle & Soap Pickup Policy

If your candles or soaps are not fully cured by the end of your party, you will need to return to pick them up. We will hold finished products for up to 3 weeks. Items not claimed within that timeframe will be donated to maintain storage space.

6. Guest Conduct & Host Responsibility

As the booking host, you are responsible for the behavior and care of your guests during your reservation.

This includes:

• Respecting the space

• Following safety instructions

• Ensuring children are supervised

• Avoiding damage to furniture, décor, or equipment

Any damages caused by your party - intentional or accidental - will be billed accordingly.

We appreciate your cooperation so every guest can enjoy a beautiful, safe experience.

7. No-Show & Guest Drop Policy

Once your group size is confirmed and paid for, we do not offer refunds for guests who do not attend or cancel last-minute.

If someone in your party cannot attend, you are welcome to:

• Make their selected item on their behalf, or

• Gift their spot to another attendee

This policy ensures fairness, staffing consistency, and supply allocation for your event.

8. Release of Liability

By participating in any candle, soap, or fragrance activity at Brite Candle Co., you acknowledge the use of hot tools, melted wax, sharp objects, fragrances, and other components that may pose risks.

By booking and attending, you agree to:

• Assume all risks associated with participation

• Release Brite Candle Co., its owners, staff, and affiliates from any liability for injury, burns, illness, allergic reactions, property damage, or loss resulting from participation or products made

• Indemnify and hold Brite Candle Co. harmless from claims arising from you or your guests

• Notify your guests of these policies before attending

Participation is voluntary, and engaging in the activity constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to all Private Party Policies & Expectations listed above. I agree to share these policies with my guests and accept responsibility for my group. I further acknowledge the Release of Liability terms and understand that participation involves inherent risks.
